CHALLENGE CUP, risultati II° turno

Non sono mancate le sorprese nel II° turno della Challenge Cup che ha visto l'East Fife superare in rimonta 2-1 il Partick Thistle e l'Alloa Athletic eliminare ai rigori il Dundee Utd; non ingrana neanche il Falkirk superato in casa dai gallesi del Connah's Quay Nomads, mentre tra le straniere fa bottino pieno solo l'Irlanda che vede andare avanti sia lo Sligo Rovers (4-1 al Livingston U21) che il Bohemians (1-0 sul campo del Peterhead). Agevole vittoria per il Ross ounty che ne fa 5 al Raith Rovers, eliminato anche il Formartine Utd che tiene testa ai nordirlandesi del Coleraine prima di cedere ai calci di rigore. Martedì pomeriggio il sorteggio del III° turno.
